Transaction reporting & statements

MySplitPay keeps a running record of every financial event across your portfolio — commissions earned, credits applied, deductions taken, and payouts issued. This guide covers the reporting views available to you, how to filter and narrow what you see, and how to export data for your records. For getting files in — uploads, custom formats, and what the platform reads from them — see the Reports section.

There are two main places to look, depending on whether you want the individual entries or the source files behind them.

The Transactions page is your ledger of record — a single, chronological list of every entry across all of your account representatives. Each row shows:

  • Effective — the date the entry counts toward (for a commission, the period month it belongs to).
  • Created — the date the entry was actually recorded in MySplitPay.
  • Account Rep — the representative the entry belongs to. Selecting the rep’s name takes you to their ledger.
  • Type — one of Commission, Credit, Deduction, or Payout, shown as a colored chip.
  • Description — the merchant DBA or a note, with the related MID shown underneath as a reference where one applies.
  • Amount — the value of the entry. Credits and commissions read as positive; deductions and payouts read as negative, so the sign tells you which way money moved.

Selecting any row opens a detail panel with the full record. Commission entries link through to the originating account representative’s ledger, where you can see how the entry fits into their running balance.

The Reports page lists the processor residual and commission files that feed your data. Each row shows the filename, the assigned processor type, the source, the period the file covers, when it was uploaded and by whom, and a count of any warnings raised during processing.

Select a report to open its detail view. There you’ll find:

  • A summary — status, file size, source, assigned processor, period, and upload details.
  • Totals for the number of rows in the file and any warnings.
  • A warnings list, if the file raised any, describing rows that need attention.
  • The full report data table, showing every row exactly as it was read from the file, with its own search box, sortable columns, and pagination.

If a report shows “Select processor…” instead of a processor name, assign the correct processor from the dropdown so its data is attributed correctly.

Both the Transactions and Reports pages use the same filter-bar layout: a search box on the left, and — on the Transactions page — a period selector on the right, with type filters shown as pills.

Search matches as you type. On Transactions, it searches across the account rep, the description or note, the merchant DBA, and the MID reference. On Reports, it searches the filename, processor type, period, and the person who uploaded the file.

Type filters (Transactions only) let you narrow to a single kind of entry:

  • All — everything.
  • Commissions — earned residual splits.
  • Credits — positive adjustments.
  • Deductions — negative adjustments.
  • Payouts — money paid out to reps.

Sorting — select a sortable column header to reorder the list. On Transactions you can sort by Effective date, Account Rep, or Amount. On a report’s data table you can sort by any column in the file.

Every table is paginated, so large portfolios stay fast — use the page controls at the bottom of each table to move through results. Search, filters, and sorting all apply across the full set, not just the page you’re viewing.

On the Transactions page, the period selector on the right controls the date window you’re looking at. It filters by the entry’s effective month, so a payout issued this month for last month’s commissions is grouped where it counts.

Choose from these presets:

  • This Month
  • Last Month
  • Last 3 Mo — the current month plus the two before it.
  • YTD — from January of the current year through today.
  • All — no date limit; every entry.
  • Custom — pick your own start and end months from the month picker.

For Custom, open the picker and select a starting month, then an ending month, to define the range. Selecting a single month reports on that month alone.

On the Reports page, each file already carries the period it covers, shown in the Period column, so you narrow by searching or sorting on that period rather than using a separate date selector.

To export data for your own records, open the report you want from the Reports page and select Download in its detail view. This saves the report’s data as a CSV file, named to match the report, which you can open in a spreadsheet or hand off to your accounting workflow.

Because a report holds the source rows for a period and processor, downloading it gives you the underlying detail behind the commissions on that statement.
